“There is no such thing as failure, only feedback” - NLP Supposition
My ethos is that ‘Success Begins Within’, therefore in order to make the desired changes ‘out there’ the change must first start within. This view is shared by many great leaders in history, religions and spiritual schools of thought:-
…Verily, God will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves…’ - Quran, Surah Ar-Ra’d, Verse 11
I have over a decade of experience in integrative therapy and have had extensive experience in facilitating roles such as family support work and mentoring teenagers.
I have worked as a child therapist for Kids Company, a children’s charity and also with mental health patients in a residential home. I now practice privately in south London.
I am very passionate about my work in facilitating individuals, but also feel a deep sense of importance in giving back to the community. I have contributed to projects and charities such as IFAM (Islam For All Mankind). I have also appeared as a guest speaker on Women’s AM (Islam Channel), offering a psychological perspective on various topics.
I am currently supporting another project that was set up in loving memory of my dear friend, Matt Palmer, who tragically completed suicide June 2013. The Matt Palmer Trust aims to raise awareness and support individuals who suffer with mental health, depression and aids suicide prevention, particularly in men. Through this charity I have received training and obtained certified Mental Health First Aid.
